The Farasciole project was born from the aim of Barbacàn to explore the potential of native white grape varieties from Valtellina. Each harvest is carefully managed, with full respect for the tradition of heroic viticulture and the surrounding landscape. Hand harvesting and a natural vineyard approach allow for healthy, vibrant grapes that express the aromatic richness and complexity of alpine vintages. The vineyards of Chiavennasca Bianca and Chiavennaschino, trained on steep terraces, grow on sandy, mineral-rich soils exposed to significant diurnal temperature shifts. Barbacàn follows a natural, sustainable philosophy, avoiding chemical treatments and guiding vine growth through careful observation and constant attention. The goal is to obtain pure, intact fruit capable of conveying freshness, complexity, and a strong sense of place.
