The Biondi Santi winery at Tenuta Greppo is credited with creating the first modern Brunello di Montalcino in 1888. The wines are known for a distinct, more fragrant and elegant style compared to other, heavier Brunellos, and are specifically crafted for long-term aging.The wine features an intense ruby red color with garnet reflections, an ample and complex bouquet of small red fruits, dried rose petals, and hints of vanilla, evolving into notes of tobacco and flint with age. On the palate, it is described as warm, persistent, elegant, and balanced with notable tannins.
