Rosso di Valtellina I Vitari comes from vineyards located between the municipality of Sondrio (Grumello) and the highest slopes of Teglio, areas particularly suited for finesse and aromatic fragrance. The terraces, located between 400 and 600 meters above sea level, have sandy soils originating from the crumbling of granite rocks, with a predominantly southern exposure. The cool, breezy climate favors an agile, elegant, and immediate Nebbiolo, an authentic expression of the mountain. Grape variety: 100% Nebbiolo (Chiavennasca). Vinification: Hand-picked with bunch selection. Destemming and crushing and fermentation in stainless steel with maceration for approximately 10–12 days to enhance freshness, immediacy, and fruity fragrance. Spontaneous malolactic fermentation. Native yeasts. Aging: A few months in stainless steel and subsequent bottle aging to preserve the verticality and aromatic purity. Appearance: Bright and transparent ruby red. Nose: Fragrant and distinctive. Fresh cherry, raspberry, small berries, violet, and light balsamic notes. Clean, crisp, and immediate.
