Trentino Alto Adige

The wine is made by Azienda Agricola Foradori, a winery renowned for its pioneering work in biodynamic viticulture and for regenerating the indigenous Teroldego grape variety. Grape Variety: 100% Teroldego, an ancient local red grape variety grown almost exclusively in the Piana Rotaliana plain in Trentino. Vineyard & Terroir: The name "Sgarzon" means "shoot" in the local dialect and refers to a specific 2.5-hectare vineyard plot in the Campo Rotaliano area. This site is characterized by sandy alluvial soils and a cooler microclimate, which imparts an unusual freshness and vitality to the wine. Winemaking: The wine is produced using a low-intervention, natural approach, including spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and aging for several months in Spanish clay amphorae (tinajas). This process, often involving long skin contact, contributes to a unique texture and minerality.
