Valtellina

The Valtellina Superiore Valgella DOCG “Söl” from the Barbàcan winery is an intense and elegant wine, produced, as its name suggests, in the Valgella subzone, east of the city of Sondrio. This highly expressive wine is also made from Nebbiolo grapes grown on terraced vineyards located over 500 meters above sea level. Aged in large oak barrels for at least 12 months, it offers a fragrant, inviting, and pleasantly mellow palate. Ruby red with garnet highlights, it expresses itself on the nose with hints of red fruit, floral notes of violet, and hints of pepper and licorice. On the palate, it is lively and energetic, with lively tannins and a pleasantly long finish.
